We’re excited to be highlighting each month one of our talented and professionally committed providers whose care and safety for our patients’ dental health has preceded their reputation.
Dr. Robert Gay, a general dentist with a practice limited to oral surgery, enjoys treating wisdom teeth. The most gratifying area of dentistry he finds pleasure in is the ability to help resolve pain and dental problems associated with infected, fractured, and impacted teeth and help patients return to a state of optimal oral health.
He completed advanced education in general dentistry residency with training in IV sedation and advanced surgical techniques during his five years of service in the United States Air Force. He was a provider known and most called upon to repair lip lacerations and referred to for the most complex surgical cases.
In a successful private practice in Eugene, Oregon, Dr. Gay practiced for 12 years, after serving the U.S. Air Force, providing most of the oral surgery care for the clinic. He has been practicing dentistry for the past 17 years and continued at The Center of Dental Professionals.
At our dental office, Dr. Gay can be seen treating our patients in need of wisdom teeth removal. His reputation for gentle dental health care has allowed him and us to provide the best dental care our patients deserve while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Outside of the office, you can catch Dr. Gay spending time with his wife, Jackie, and their two boys; hiking, biking, canoeing, reading, and traveling. His travels have taken him all over the world. He has had the opportunity to live in Argentina, Japan, and Italy. He’s a fluent Spanish speaker, knows a little bit of Japanese, and is currently working on improving his Italian.
